Still don't know what's up with my AOL, but I can get to my e-mail tho. I can get to AOL by searching for it the clicking on that link. Annoying, but hey~gotta do what I gotta do :)

Hope to have some new pics up tomorrow. Tomorrow I take Mark for his Kindergarten check-up and to the dentist for the first time. I know what you're thinking~ "Five years old and it's the first time?" We didn't have the money to take him without insurance and the dental insurance was crazy expensive. Now that he has Medicaid, I'm getting him there. Better late than never!

Some pics I found of duct tape art work. These are made of duct tape. Cool, huh?

6.19.2008

Sorry...

If anyone is e-mailing me, I can't get to my e-mail right now. Every time I go to AOL, it says it's temporarily unavailable, to try again. It's been going on since Saturday. Yet, I can get to it from someone else's computer (I checked my mail on Tuesday), so I don't know what's wrong and why I can't access it from my computer all of a sudden (if you have any suggestions~ let me know)

I will put up new pics of Trevor soon. Had a tough night Tuesday night. He cried for 2 hours straight. Uggg. But last night he slept wonderfully and is sleeping right now.

Mark is doing good. He went for his check-up to check on his meds and the doc is happy with how well he's doing on them. He goes for his kindergarten check-up next week. I got him signed up yesterday and had tears in my eyes as I filled out the paperwork. My little boy isn't so little anymore!!! He was in awe of the school. He was saying "Oooh. I get to go here? I'll have a lot of people in my class like at Kidsports!" Like Lewis said~ it's going to be a shock to him how many people really are there.

Please pray for my mom. She has a problem with her back again. She is to go for 18 sessions of physical therapy and if that doesn't help, she'll have to have surgery~ again~ which she isn't too happy about. She's had about 8 operations and doesn't really want another (well, who WANTS surgery, but you know what I mean :) ) She is also back to having to use a cane. She's gone for about 4 years without it (Thanks to God intervening), but now has to use it again.

6.16.2008

Still here :)

Life has been busy! But I'm still around :)

Ross finished school last Tues. so now I don't have to run everyday to go pick him up. Not to complain , but just a lot easier since Trevor has come along.

Trevor is now 8 lbs. We had some problems with his formula and had a week of not getting much sleep. The doc put him on some new formula and it is a God send! He is a much, much happier baby and it's a lot easier in the wee hours of the morning. He still don't really fit into 0-3 month old clothes, but I know it'll only be time.

I feel sorry for Mark. He doesn't have as much to do now that he's out of school. And with it so hot, it's hard for him to go outside. We don't have the $ for the Y, so I just feel bad that there's not kids for him to play with. I will figure something out.

I'm so aggravated with Georgia. I applied for Medicaid in Jan. I don't have my birth certificate, so they sent off for one. They STILL have not gotten it. And if she doesn't get it by the end of the month, she'll have to close my file and I'll have to reapply. Which might be a prob since Lewis has been doing side work the last few weeks. I don't know. I have to leave it in God's hands.

The Sneeze

They walked in tandem, each of the ninety-two students
filing into the already crowded auditorium. With their rich maroon gowns
flowing and the traditional caps, they looked almost as grown up as they felt.

The Dads swallowed hard behind broad smiles, and Moms freely brushed away
tears. This class would NOT pray during the commencements----not by
choice, but because of a recent court ruling prohibiting it .

The principal and several students were careful to stay within the guidelines allowed
by the ruling. They gave inspirational and challenging speeches, but no
one mentioned divine guidance and no one asked for blessings on the
graduates or their families. The speeches were nice, but they were routine until
the final speech received a standing ovation. A solitary student walked
proudly to the microphone. He stood still and silent for just a moment, and
then it happened:

All 92 students, every single one of them, suddenly SNEEZED!!!!
The student on stage simply looked at the audience and said,

"GOD BLESS YOU". And he walked off stage.
The audience exploded into applause. This graduating class had found
a unique way to invoke God's blessing on their future with or without the
court's approval. Isn't this a wonderful story?

He's here

Well, he finally came. May 30th at 2:20pm. 7 lbs and 20 inches long

Trevor Lewis is finally at home :)

This was the easiest birth I've had and I praise God for it. I'm worn out now, but overall, I'm doing pretty good.

He has a bit of jaundice, but other than that, he's doing good too.

Thanks to all who prayed for us.

5.28.2008

Just a few...

...more days. If the baby doesn't come before Friday morning (so he doesn't have much more time), the doc is going to induce at 7 am Friday morning. Never been induced before, so I'm kinda nervous.

And yes, we have a name (finally!), but we are keeping it a secret until after he is born. Everyone knows what the middle name will be, but don't know about the first. I'm just glad we could finally come to an agreement. I'll even tell ya how we came to it (after he's born and I'm home~ of course :) )

Lewis has strep. I had to take him to the doc this morning. I had to call my OB to make sure he'd be able to be in with me on Friday (yes he can). I was worried about that.

Mark and Ross has 2 more soccer games (tho this Saturday's game I won't be at) Mark is so happy that it's almost over hehe

Funny conversation with Mark:
Mark got a tape measure from his K-K (my FIL's fiancee). He told his coach on Tues night that he had one.

Butch: A tape measure? Well, that's good, cuz a lot of people don't know how to read them.
Mark: Cuz it's not a BOOK!!!
Butch: (quietly) I guess I asked for that one

HEHE

5.23.2008

Well.....

Mark graduated today. I tried to upload my pics to my cpu and it messed up and I lost 6 pics. So I'm going to wait and take my card to Walgreens to get it put on CD before I try again. I don't want to lose anymore pics. As soon as I do that, I will post them.

The doc said she thinks I might go this weekend. I am 1 and 1/2 cm dialated and 50% effaced. She made a "just in case" apointment for Tues, "just in case" I don't go this weekend. We will see :)

5.20.2008

Thought it might....

...have been time yesterday. I had contractions all day long, but nothing consistent. So I thought they might....but they didn't :( Oh well. He'll be here soon :) Just keep me in your prayers. I'm so ready and I need to be patient.

Anyways~ The boys are in a bowling league on Monday nights. They have a blast. Mark is doing really good in it.

After soccer season is over, Mark isn't going to do it again. He says he doesn't like it cuz he has to run and that makes his legs tired......but yet he'll run around the yard hehe. Ross got 2 goals last week during his game. I was so proud of him. I think he'll stick with it again. I hope so cuz he's really good at it.

I'm wanting to do the CVS thing soon. Right now, I don't have a printer, so some of the coupons that would help, I can't get right now. I think I might go get a printer in the next couple of days.

5.16.2008

Sad

A vent post

I feel so sad for Mark. Next week, on Fri., is his graduation from preschool. He is so excited. His Paw-Paw and his fiancee, (who Mark calls) K-K, were supposed to go. Well.....they have decided to go out of town on Thurs. Paw-Paw missed Grandparents Day and so Mark didn't have a grandparent then. My heart broke for him then and it's breaking for him again as they won't be there for this. I can't see why they can't wait til Fri morning to go, but nothing I can do about it. They just don't realize that Mark knows what's going on and is going to know that they broke a promise. Like I told Lewis~ Yes, he will have a graduation in 13 years, but they might not be around then, so they need to take advantage of what they are around for. Just aggravates me.

I also have to pray that I will be able to be there. I would hate to go into labor and miss it. I have a doc appointment today, so we'll see how close I am.

5.14.2008

Well.....

Let's see.

~Lewis has been working a TON. I get to see him for about 2 hours a day. There has been a couple of days that I got 4 hours in, but mostly 2. :( He did get a compliment from his boss today thanking him for working so hard. That was great since it took 18 years for the first compliment last time.

~ Mark is doing great in school. He'll graduate from preschool next Friday. He's excited

~ Ross got on the A honor roll last quarter. Now he's messing it up by forgetting his homework and lying to us about it.

~As I said in my last post, we've done without a computer for almost a month. It drove me nutz. I couldn't just look something up if I needed help with something. I missed my computer. Now I have a really cool one. Our other one was 4 years old, so this one is amazing to me :)

~ I am 38 weeks. I am so ready to have this baby. We still haven't come up with a name tho. We have the middle~ which will be Lewis~ but we can't decide between Cody, Trevor, or Hunter. I like them all for different reasons, so it's hard to pick just one hehe.

~ Trying to remember all the favorites I had on my other computer is driving me crazy too. I'm still trying to remember all the blogs. I'll get them someday hehe

Just glad to be back. Hope everyone has been doing good.

5.13.2008

Finally!!!!

I have been without a computer....it seems like forever!! I am so happy to finally be able to get back online. I have missed reading all my e-mails and everyone's blogs. Sad that my hubby had to work so much when the computer was out. We coulda used the couple time, but oh well...ya do what ya have to do.

So I'm just glad to be back. I'll update more later. Just trying to get everything back into my favorites.

Not doing so good, huh?

Not doing so well at keeping up again, am I? Sorry.

Well, things are going pretty good. The boys had their 1st soccer game on Saturday. We got in Mark's game, sat with Staci to watch Jess' game, then went to watch Ross' game. At halftime, it started thundering, so they called the game. I was upset, but as we started walking to the parking lot, it started POURING. So, I felt better that the game wasn't called for no reason. hehe. I was upset about another thing too. At the beginning of Ross' game, me, Emily and Mark went to the concession stand to get drinks and food. As we were gone, Ross made a goal. He looked for me, but :( I wasn't there. So when the game was called, it made me feel bad since I didn't get to see his goal.

Weather has been CRAZY around here. ALL last week, it was so pretty and nice. Then the weekend comes and it rains on Saturday. Not for long, but for a bit. Then it's getting cooler this week. It's also calling for rain this weekend. I just wish it'd make up it's mind if it want to be cold or nice hehe.

My mom went to have an MRI on her brain this past week. She won't have the results until next Thurs., so please be in prayer for her.

What kids will say

Mark is so excited about seeing his baby brother (even tho to him (and sometimes me)) its a while away.

Mark was talking about things to do with the baby. He then said "What does he do in mommy's tummy? He's got to be bored! He doesn't have any toys in there" hehe What kids will say :)

4.02.2008

Too funny

Hope these pics put a smile on your face :)

3.30.2008

Praise God!

I had been worried about our doctor bills and medication costs since Lewis' job is kinda in a hiatus. Mark's doc wasn't covered under the "insurance" that we had. I don't call it a real "insurance" company. They get ya by having the word insurance in their name, but they are more of a discount program. Then, Mark's doc put him on a new medication and it was mucho dinero! Which of course wasn't covered. So I was worried. The medicine works wonders for Mark. I even told the doc "Me and my husband went to the grocery store with him and actually had a good time!" We have been very happy with the outcome of this medicine.

I got a letter yesterday that Mark was approved for Medicaid! I am so happy. God has provided so that Mark can stay on this medicine. Thanks be to God!

3.27.2008

What do ya think?

I've been watching some documentaries on tv. They had one series called "In the Footsteps of Jesus". It was good. It wasn't one where all they said was that Jesus was "just a man". They showed some cool places in Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and Nazareth. There was one series that I didn't watch after a bit of the first one. They only talked as if Jesus was "just a man" and that he wasn't the Son of God. I couldn't handle it.

What do you think?~ Why was Judas needed? Why did the people that came to arrest Him need Judas to "point out" who Jesus was? (Just an opinion thing. I never really thought about it and these programs got me thinking)

Why was the price of Judas' betrayal 30 pieces of silver? (I never knew this one until I watched the documentaries)

Not much here

Saturday we did an egg hunt at our house. I'll post pics later. It was fun. It was Ross and Mark and my best friend's 2 kids.

Sunday I went to church for a little bit. I taught the HS class, then went to choir. I can't sit still thru preaching right now, so I left after we sang our songs for the service.

Ross and Mark have a battle going on. I guess it's just a competitive nature in them. It drives me nutz tho. Mark is doing awesome in learning how to spell things and Ross will try and one up him with some hard word that there's just no way Mark will know how to spell. Mark says "I know how to spell police" and Ross will say "Well, let me figure out a word that you don't know." Then say some big word. When Mark asks him to spell it, Ross'll say "I'm not going to tell you" Just drives me insane!!

I am now 30 weeks pregnant. Ten weeks left! This is going so fast. I try not to complain about him moving so much, but sometimes I wish he'd take a rest hehe. Mark and Ross had hiccups real bad when I was pregnant with them. This one is starting to have them a lot too. I think he got aggravated yesterday from them cuz everytime he had a hiccup, he'd jerk around real quick. It was kinda funny.

Mark didn't want to go to school today. I can't figure out why. His teacher said he and two other boys had a bit of an altercation on Friday, so maybe that was it. Couldn't get him to tell why he didn't want to go. He broke my heart cuz he said he wanted to stay home with me~ tho I know he just wanted to watch tv. I just don't want him to think that he can just say he didn't want to go to school and get to stay home cuz he'll be going to "big boy" school in the fall. My baby is growing up.

Oh~ Mark wanted a baby sister, didn't want a baby brother. Well, he's starting to come around. The other day we were talking about it.

Mark~ "I wanted a baby sister"
Me~ "I know, but you'll have more fun with a baby brother"
Mark~ "What if he doesn't want to play with me?"
Me~ "I think it'll be the other way around. You might have times when you don't want to play with him"

Mark~ " I will. I'll be nice to him. But if Ross don't be nice to him, I won't let Ross play with him. He'll need to be nice"

So cute.

Sermon 3-9

(Kinda late at putting these up~ I think you'll understand tho :) )

John 3:16

This is a complex world and it gets more confusing every day. There is war, disease and ultimately death.

What kind of hope can we give to non Christians in this world? The same message~ John 3:16.

No technology can ever replace us as bearers of the gospel. We were chosen as Christ's embassadors.

Assignment~ John 3:16 Learn it, Love it, Tell it.

In Bible times, Jews were the chosen and Gentiles were the "outsiders" but Jesus changed that.

How?

Romans 5:8 ~But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

Jesus has done everything necessary for us, we just have to trust and submit to His will.

God is Holy and morally perfect. God hates sin and loves us. Sin must be punished. We like that God might punish our enemies, but recoil when our own sins must be judged. God is fair and just.

Sinners are spiritually dead, physically dying. Eternal life is ours NOW

Romans 10:13~ Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.

So sweet

Mark had Grandparents Day at his preschool. Welllllll, his PawPaw didn't show up. I felt so sorry for him. Here was our conversation in the truck:

Me: Sorry sweetheart that PawPaw didn't show up.
Mark: It's ok
Me: But I'm still sorry
Mark: It's ok. It wasn't your fault.

Awwww. I teared up. I felt sorry that he had no Grandparent at Grandparent Day, but he took it well. He did ask his PawPaw later (which PawPaw didn't have a good excuse), but he's my little trooper :)

Good news....bad news

Well, the guys are going back to work. I don't think anyone really knows what's going on. They make a decision one day, the next day, it's different. I suspect it will take a while to really work things out. They are using another cabinet business space. Cabinets business' are being nice and offering space up.

They will be paid every week. That's good news. Only, Lewis' main part of the paycheck came from the side work of spraying and finishing the cabinets. He'll still be doing it, but we don't know when he'll be paid for it. So, it's going to be a tough road for a while.

Two firefighters died in the fire. Pray for their families. One was 19 year old Justin and the other 40 year old Victor. Their funerals will be tomorrow.
On a good note, the boys got to have their first soccer practice last night. Mark was so funny to watch. I forgot my camera (first time too!!), but I'll take pictures next time. Ross had a good time. I think he was scared at first, cuz it was a new coach, but then he opened up and had fun.

No soccer=disappointment

We had some crazy rain tonight. So.....the soccer practice that my boys have been looking forward to for 2 months.....didn't happen. They took it better than I thought they would, but I knew they were still upset.

My house needs a good cleaning, but I can't get in the mood. We have more stuff than we actually need and just don't have to room for everything. I drives me nuts! Any hints on how to unclutter my clutter? I do go thru things every so often and get rid of things that I haven't used or needed in a while, but it never seems like it's enough. Plus, I have the husband factor~ he's a major pack rat too hehe.

He's making up for it

This pregnancy has me worried. My mom lost her 3rd child (3 days before she was born) and my grandma about died giving birth to her 3rd (my dad). Anything that happened that's "weird" to me, I get worried.

Yesterday, I wasn't feeling the baby like I normally do. He is a very active baby. It was making me nervous. Then the afternoon I started feeling him more. Well, today~ I don't think he's taken a break (I'm sure he has, just doesn't seem like it hehe), so he is more than making up for it. But I'm not complaining because I want to know that things are still ok.

Pics and updates

Mark and his new pj's

Mark's 5th b-day party

Mark's handprint put up on the wall at his b-day party. His is the black handprint (and no..he doesn't have 6 fingers hehe)

Ross had pinewood derby car races yesterday. This is one where he won. His is the one that has green on it. I was proud of him yesterday. He did well even when he didn't win.

I've got a head cold that I can't shake. It's driving me nuts. It's not like I can take any kind of medicine I want to, so that makes it harder.

Mark turned 5 in January. I was very emotional cuz my little man is growing too fast. You don't really believe your parents when they tell you that you grew up too fast. Now I know what they meant. He'll be starting Kindergarten in the fall.

Mark and Ross begin soccer this Tues. I can't wait. They can't either. I think Mark has been waiting for 2 months for this and has asked everyday if he gets to go to soccer. hehe

I'm missing being in school. I hope that I'll be able to go back at some point.

At Thanksgiving, I got to see my brother that I haven't seen in 7 years. I missed him.

I'm sure there's other things to say, but I've gotta lay down. I'll be back :)
