*GASP*
It has been three days that I haven't gotten on Facebook. Well...I was on there once yesterday and once today. However, that was to get info on a field trip Mark and I went on today. Well...and posting the link to my blog. π Otherwise.... I see that notification number on my app on my phone and wonder what they all are. Hmmm....keep your finger away from the app G! Lol.
So what's been going on here....since I haven't updated you all π Lol.
Well....We have started a "game time" at night. After supper, we've been playing Connect 4. It may be a different game at some point. But it's been fun. D has beat his daddy again, but daddy has also beat D...so daddy feels betterππ. I don't have any kind of streak. I don't keep track...lol.
R has a cough and sore throat. Took him to the doc yesterday and it's just something he has to tough out. He's pretty much stayed in his room to keep from the others.
M and I went to 2 colleges today. One was to Catawba and another was RCCC. Man....I will probably sound crazy to you....but I miss school! I was able to visit with 4 of my teachers that I had while at Catawba. One of my teachers is still backing me going after my Master's. I soooooo want to. Things just have to line-up for me to be able to. Esp since there's still a study I would loveeeee to conduct. Then at RCCC, I was able to see the major building changes that has happened there since I graduated from there in 2011. It was crazy how much has changed.
T is still liking his glasses. I'm glad. I was worried he'd be picked on or something and then stop wearing them....but nope....he's still wearing them.
I have started reading a book that I have wanted to read for a while now. It is called "Not a Fan" by Kyle Idleman. So far, I'm liking it. It's definitely a book that makes you think. Are you a "fan" of Jesus.....or a "follower"? Can you spot the difference? Do you go to church just to say "I love Jesus" or are you going there to get closer to God and learn (really learn) about Him? I'll let you know what I think. I am only into the 2nd chapter....it's been a little hard to get motivated to read, but I'm doing better.
So studies show that you have to do something for 21 days in order to become a habit (although there are a couple of studies that say 66 days). I am hoping to create a habit that I am not constantly on Fb. When L read my post that I was going to leave Fb for a while, he asked "What brought that on?" I replied "I don't know...just felt like I need to step back for a bit." He then said "You are on there a lottttt." I think I surprised him by agreeing.
So here's to creating habits of: being a better wife; being a better mom; reading more; blogging more; doing more with the fam; getting some projects done
Would love to have you along with me on the journey.
