I went shopping a little today. I was surprised that I didn't have too much trouble with crowds.
For our Christmas, we do the 3 gift rule. We did it two years ago, but last year I got in the wrong frame of mind and went too over board. I got competitive with the girls mom and wanted to "out do her." I know....bad me. Well, this year we are back to the 3 gifts. The three gifts are to remind us of the wise men's gifts.
I went to WalMart and got a full length mirror for Ashley. That's what she wanted. I also got Trevor some of the cutest shoes. I was planning on getting his pics done, but there was a lot of people there. Maybe later this week.
Then to Hobby Lobby. Another gift Ashley wanted was some masks to paint. She also wanted a bear that you stuffed yourself that had a John Deere outfit, but I didn't get that. It was 35 bucks. Sorry....don't see paying 35 for a bear.
I also got my best friend her present, but just in case she reads this still, I'm not telling what it is :)
I have Trevor's gifts, have 1 more to get for Ross, Mark, and Ashley. So I only have 6 more gifts to get cuz I haven't gotten Emily hers yet.
I don't think we'll get to have a Christmas tree this year. We don't have the room :( Oh well, one less thing to worry about Trevor trying to pull up on hehe

try a little 3 footer. I have done that for a few years. I used a little bookshelf, through some fabric over it, (maybe 3 yards) of crushed velvet in the color I themed with my decorations then just put up the tree. Its small out of the way but you still get that special glow of lights in the corner of your room that everyone loves. Plus, its out of reach for baby. Just an idea. Good luck!
Thanks for your comments.Have a great Saturday and Sabbath day!
I use to put up a little tree too, I can't imagine Christmas without a tree, but its not the most important thing now is it? I'm glad you got your shopping done. I agree paying $35 for a bear is crazy. I bought Jess a buildabear for her 10th birthday and paid $45 for it and its on the shelf missing a rollerskate and she never once said thanks or played with it after that day was here and gone. I will eventually grab the bear and wrap it up again and give it to her in spite... lol.
We have our Christmas play tonight if you want to come! Its cute. Chris and I are in it too! Fun stuff.
I like your new background
